About Us

Home Beyond Home is a Queensland-based not-for-profit organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of people experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, domestic violence, and social isolation. We believe that everyone deserves more than just a roof over their head—they deserve safety, dignity, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.

Founded by a team of passionate leaders with decades of experience in community care, mental health, and social services, Home Beyond Home was born out of the urgent need to fill the gaps left by traditional systems. Our innovative approach centres on providing container-based micro-homes that are affordable, eco-friendly, and designed to foster privacy and healing. But housing is only the first step. We offer a holistic suite of wraparound supports, including trauma-informed mental health care, life skills development, vocational training, and pathways to education and employment. Our vision is to build sustainable communities where vulnerable individuals can regain their independence and thrive—turning crisis into confidence and despair into hope.

Experienced Support Team

Behind the scenes, Home Beyond Home is powered by a multidisciplinary team of qualified professionals and dedicated care workers. Our staff includes registered mental health nurses, licensed social workers, counsellors trained in trauma-informed care, employment specialists, and youth mentors. Together, they deliver tailored support that meets the unique needs of each individual, ensuring continuity of care from hospital discharge to independent living. We also work closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, cultural mentors, and community organisations to ensure our services are culturally safe and inclusive.

Our nurses don’t just treat the illness—We become part of a community’s healing journey. In some of the most remote areas, we’re not just nurses. We’re educators, advocates, and sometimes the only mental health support people have.

Our team’s shared values—compassion, respect, empowerment, and collaboration—drive everything we do. With their expertise and heart, we turn housing into homes and support into sustainable futures.
